The RECTORSEAL CORPORATION 25631 is a soft-set, slow-drying pipe thread sealant designed to seal threaded pipe joints in plumbing, HVAC, and mechanical systems. It can be pressurized immediately after application on piping up to 2 inches in diameter at pressures up to 100 psi. The soft-set formulation allows for adjustment after assembly, making it a practical choice for jobs where alignment corrections may be needed after initial makeup. This sealant carries NSF, UL, and AGA certifications, making it suitable for use on systems requiring verified, code-compliant sealing compounds. It is applied by licensed plumbers, pipefitters, and HVAC technicians.
The 25631 is well-suited for residential and commercial piping applications where a wide range of pipe materials are encountered. It is recommended for use on threaded galvanized steel, iron, brass, copper, aluminum, stainless steel, polyethylene, and fiberglass reinforced PVC pipe. This flexibility makes it a common choice for multi-trade service work where a single sealant must perform across different pipe substrates in the same installation. The 1/4 pint container size is practical for field use and service calls.
