The RectorSeal 444227 is a non-hardening, slow-drying pipe thread sealant designed to seal, lubricate, and protect threaded pipe connections across a wide range of materials and service conditions. Formulated from special inert fillers dispersed in an oleoresinous base, it applies easily to male and female threads and can be pressurized immediately after assembly. Rated to 12,000 psi for liquid service and 2,600 psi for gas service, it is suitable for demanding trade applications in plumbing, HVAC, and industrial piping. The compound is lead free and contains no metal, making it a code-appropriate choice for potable water and gas line work.

This sealant is suited for residential and commercial plumbing, gas distribution, and mechanical piping systems where a reliable, non-hardening thread seal is required. It performs on threaded pipe and fittings made from galvanized steel, iron, brass, copper, aluminum, stainless steel, polyethylene, reinforced fiberglass, and PVC. Installation Notes
