The RAINBIRD NATIONAL SLS 15CST-C1 is a center strip pattern replacement spray nozzle designed for underground pop-up sprinkler systems. It delivers a matched precipitation rate, which ensures uniform watering across a zone even when center strip nozzles are mixed with other pattern types on the same zone circuit. Coverage is adjustable from a 3-inch by 20-inch pattern up to a 4-inch by 30-inch pattern, giving installers flexibility to dial in coverage for narrow turf strips, medians, and similar elongated irrigation areas. This nozzle is sold in a package of 25 units, making it practical for multi-head zone installations. Irrigation contractors and landscape professionals are the primary installers.
The 15CST-C1 is suited for residential and light commercial irrigation applications where narrow, rectangular turf areas require precise strip coverage. Typical install scenarios include parkway strips, roadway medians, and side-yard turf corridors where standard fixed-arc or full-circle nozzles would overspray onto hardscaping or structures. The adjustable coverage range allows the same nozzle to serve varying strip widths without swapping heads. It fits most standard underground pop-up sprinkler bodies, reducing the need to stock multiple replacement nozzle types for common strip irrigation layouts.
Designed as an OEM-style replacement nozzle compatible with most underground pop-up sprinkler bodies requiring a center strip spray pattern.
Irrigation technicians should shut off the zone valve and relieve system pressure before removing the existing nozzle. Hand-tighten the replacement nozzle onto the sprinkler body; avoid over-torquing, which can crack the nozzle seat. After installation, run the zone and verify coverage pattern and arc before backfilling or replacing sod. Local irrigation codes and water district guidelines may govern precipitation rates and scheduling for the installed zone.
