The RAINBIRD NATIONAL SLS 12SAFPROPR is a full-pattern, pressure-regulating mini rotor sprinkler head designed for residential and commercial irrigation systems. Built on the 1800 Pro Series body with a 4-inch pop-up height and a 1/2-inch inlet, this head delivers a 360-degree spray pattern with a throw distance of 13 to 18 feet. The integrated pressure-regulating spray (PRS) mechanism eliminates misting and fogging at high pressures, ensuring consistent water distribution. Multiple rotating streams distribute water uniformly across the coverage area, reducing runoff potential and improving overall irrigation efficiency. This unit is installed by licensed irrigation contractors and knowledgeable irrigation technicians.
The 12SAFPROPR is suited for turf and landscape zones in residential and light commercial applications. Its PRS feature makes it compliant with mandatory efficiency regulations in California, Washington, Hawaii, Colorado, and Vermont. A standout characteristic is its compatibility with large rotor zones — this head may be installed in the same irrigation zone as large rotors, simplifying zone design and reducing the need for dedicated low-volume circuits. It is packaged in quantities of 14 units per package, making it practical for multi-head installations and service stock.
Designed as an OEM-style replacement and new-install option for 1800 Pro Series irrigation zones requiring pressure-regulating mini rotor performance. May be installed in the same zone as large rotors per manufacturer specification.
Installation should be performed by a licensed irrigation contractor in accordance with local plumbing and irrigation codes. Shut off the irrigation system water supply and relieve line pressure before replacing or installing any sprinkler head. Verify that inlet thread size matches the lateral line fitting before torquing the head into place. Check local water authority requirements, as PRS heads are mandated in several states and municipalities.
