Product Description

The TX-TPR1A is an audio receiving module from Radio Design Labs that works with RDL Format-A twisted pair products. A front-panel switch allows selection of one of three FORMAT-A pairs to buffer and output. The audio signal is sent through the RJ45 input jack, providing both -10 dBV unbalanced RCA phono jack output and +4 dBu balanced output via a detachable terminal block. A studio-quality buffer amplifier ensures the outputs are at the correct level.

This single-pair audio receiver is designed to bridge the input signal from the chosen cable pair set via the front-panel switch. The product includes a LOOP OUT RJ45 jack for connecting additional Format-A receivers, allowing two single-pair receivers to be connected in series or a two-pair receiver to be linked. The bridging input circuits enable connectivity of up to ten receivers per cable pair, enhancing audio routing system flexibility in RDL FORMAT-A designs.

Power options include local powering from a 24 Vdc supply through either the power jack or terminal block. Additionally, it supports remote powering via twisted pair from connected devices. The power status is indicated with a front-panel LED, providing clear information for the user.
