The RACO GSC-12-S is a green grounding pigtail designed for equipment grounding connections in electrical panels, junction boxes, and outlet boxes. Built from 12 AWG stranded copper conductors, it measures 8 inches in length and terminates with a 3/8 inch hex head screw for a secure, code-compliant ground attachment. The stranded construction allows flexibility during installation in tight enclosures. This pigtail is installed by licensed electricians and journeymen performing residential and commercial wiring, grounding, and bonding work in accordance with NEC requirements.
This grounding pigtail is suited for use in residential and light commercial electrical installations where equipment grounding conductors must be terminated to a grounding screw or grounding bar. Typical applications include outlet box grounding, panel grounding connections, and device grounding inside metallic and non-metallic enclosures. The green color coding confirms grounding conductor identification per NEC conventions. It is available in carton quantities of 1000, making it practical for contractors stocking service vehicles or supply rooms.
Designed as an OEM-style grounding pigtail for use in standard residential and commercial electrical enclosures requiring a 12 AWG equipment grounding conductor with a hex head screw terminal.
Installation should be performed by a licensed electrician in accordance with the National Electrical Code (NEC). De-energize the circuit and verify absence of voltage with a meter before making any connections inside the enclosure. The hex head screw terminal should be tightened using an appropriately sized nut driver or hex bit to ensure a solid mechanical and electrical connection. Do not substitute this pigtail for applications requiring a larger AWG grounding conductor as determined by the circuit's overcurrent protection rating.
