The RACO 808U is a raised exposed work cover designed for 4-inch square electrical boxes. Constructed from 0.0625-inch thick pre-galvanized steel, it provides a durable, corrosion-resistant surface suitable for surface-mounted wiring applications. The raised profile adds 0.5 inches of depth, yielding 6.5 cubic inches of capacity — useful when accommodating larger devices such as GFCI receptacles or dimmers that require additional wiring room. The universal opening accepts one GFCI receptacle, one duplex receptacle, or one toggle switch. Required mounting hardware is included. Licensed electricians and experienced electrical contractors are the primary installers of this cover.

The 808U is suited for residential and light commercial electrical installations where a square box is mounted to a surface and a finished cover plate is needed.
