The RACO 757 is a raised-type square fixture box cover designed for use with 4-inch square electrical boxes. Constructed from 0.0625-inch pre-galvanized steel, this cover provides a durable, corrosion-resistant finish suited for standard electrical enclosure applications. It raises 1 inch above the box face and offers 6.8 cubic inches of additional capacity for device wiring. The single-device opening is centered with ears spaced 2-3/4 inches on center. Angled mounting slots compensate for box misalignment up to 12 degrees, and the swivel design allows up to 20 degrees of swing from vertical, simplifying installation in tight or slightly off-plumb conditions. Licensed electricians install this cover as part of a flush-mounted device finish.
This cover fits 4-inch by 4-inch square electrical boxes and is suited for residential and light commercial wiring applications. It is used when a raised device cover is needed to bring a single wiring device — such as a switch or receptacle — flush with finished wall or ceiling surfaces. The raised profile accommodates drywall, tile, or paneling thickness. Sold in a standard package of 25, this cover is a common stock item for electrical rough-in and finish work on both new construction and retrofit projects.
Designed as an OEM-style replacement and standard new-construction cover for 4-inch by 4-inch square electrical fixture boxes requiring a raised single-device opening.
Installation is performed by a licensed electrician in accordance with the National Electrical Code (NEC) and applicable local codes. De-energize the circuit and verify absence of voltage before working inside any electrical box. Secure the cover using the appropriate machine screws through the angled mounting slots; the slot design allows minor angular adjustment to correct for box misalignment without forcing the cover. Do not over-torque fasteners on pre-galvanized steel covers, as this can strip the mounting ears.
