The RACO 4746 is a straight liquid-tight nylon conduit connector sized for 1-1/2 inch liquid-tight flexible conduit. It provides a secure, watertight termination point where flexible conduit meets an electrical enclosure, junction box, or panel knockout. The nylon construction resists corrosion and is well-suited for wet, damp, or chemically exposed environments. Electricians use this connector to maintain the liquid-tight integrity of a conduit run at the point of entry, keeping moisture and contaminants out of the enclosure while allowing the flexibility of the conduit to absorb vibration or movement.
This connector is used in residential, commercial, and light industrial electrical installations wherever liquid-tight flexible conduit terminates at a metal or nonmetallic enclosure. Typical applications include HVAC equipment connections, pump wiring, motor terminations, and outdoor or wet-location panel entries where conduit sealing is required by code. The straight configuration is standard for direct knockout entries where no angular offset is needed.
Designed as an OEM-style fitting for use with 1-1/2 inch liquid-tight flexible nonmetallic or metallic conduit in standard electrical enclosure knockouts.
Installation is performed by licensed electricians in accordance with NEC requirements for liquid-tight conduit fittings. De-energize the circuit and verify power is off before working at the enclosure. Thread the connector into the knockout and secure the locknut to the enclosure wall before seating the conduit into the connector body and tightening the compression nut. Do not overtighten the compression nut, as nylon fittings can crack under excessive torque.
