The RACO 2914 is a compression-type EMT conduit connector with a 1-inch trade size and an insulated throat. It is designed to join electrical metallic tubing to enclosures and junction boxes, providing a secure, concrete-tight mechanical connection that protects the raceway and the conductors inside. Constructed from zinc electroplated steel, the connector resists corrosion in demanding installation environments. The insulated throat helps protect wire insulation at the point of entry. With a body length of 1.9 inches and a thread length of 0.56 inches, it fits standard knockouts in panels, boxes, and enclosures. Licensed electricians install this connector in both rough-in and finish-out phases of commercial and residential electrical work.
The RACO 2914 is used on 1-inch EMT conduit runs in residential, commercial, and light industrial electrical systems. Its concrete-tight rating makes it suitable for conduit entering concrete enclosures or boxes embedded in concrete. The connector is rated suitable for applications above 600 volts, expanding its range beyond standard low-voltage branch circuit work. It is appropriate for use wherever a reliable, corrosion-resistant EMT termination is required, including wet or damp locations where corrosion protection is a factor.
Designed for use on 1-inch trade size EMT conduit as stated by the manufacturer.
Installation of EMT conduit connectors is typically performed by a licensed electrician in accordance with NFPA 70 (National Electrical Code) requirements. De-energize all circuits in the affected panel or enclosure before beginning work. Compression connectors require a proper compression tool to achieve a concrete-tight seal; do not attempt to tighten by hand or with pliers alone. Verify knockout size matches the 1-inch trade size of the connector before installation.
