The RACO 2160 is a 2-1/2 inch trade size, set screw type EMT conduit connector with an insulated throat, constructed entirely from zinc electroplated steel. It is designed to mechanically secure EMT conduit to an enclosure or junction box, maintaining raceway integrity in electrical installations. The insulated throat protects wire insulation at the point of entry, reducing abrasion risk during pull-through. The fitting is rated concrete-tight and corrosion resistant, making it suitable for demanding installation environments. Licensed electricians and electrical contractors install this fitting as part of branch-circuit and feeder raceway systems in commercial and residential construction.
The RACO 2160 is used on EMT conduit in standard electrical raceway installations. The tri-head screw design accepts a slotted, Phillips, or Robertson head screwdriver, which reduces the need to stage specific tooling on the job. Its concrete-tight rating makes it appropriate for use in slab or concrete-adjacent installations where moisture infiltration at fittings is a concern. Each unit is individually poly bagged and bar coded for easy inventory management on the jobsite or in the supply house. Standard packaging is 5 connectors per carton.
Designed for use on EMT conduit at 2-1/2 inch trade size. Supplier specifications also reference IMC and rigid conduit compatibility at this trade size.
Installation is performed by a licensed electrician in accordance with the National Electrical Code (NEC) and applicable local codes. De-energize all circuits and verify the panel is locked out before making connections at the enclosure. Tighten the set screw firmly against the conduit to ensure a secure mechanical and electrical bond. Do not overtighten to the point of deforming the conduit wall, and verify the insulated throat is seated properly before pulling wire.
