The RAB T8-7.5-24G-8CCT-HYB is a 2-foot T8 LED replacement lamp rated at 7.5 watts and 1150 lumens. It operates as a Type A+B hybrid, meaning it runs directly on a compatible electronic ballast or, with the ballast bypassed, directly on line voltage from 120 to 277 volts. The selectable CCT feature lets the installer dial in the desired color temperature at the fixture before committing to a final installation. Electricians and lighting contractors use this lamp in retrofits of commercial and light-industrial fluorescent fixtures where flexibility across ballast-dependent and ballast-bypass applications is required.
This lamp fits 2-foot linear T8 fluorescent fixture housings in office, retail, storage, and light-industrial environments. The Type A+B dual-mode design is particularly useful in large retrofit projects where some fixtures retain functioning electronic ballasts and others are being converted to direct-wire operation. The glass construction is appropriate for open strip fixtures, troffers, and wraparounds where a traditional lamp profile is preferred over a plastic-body alternative.
Designed as an OEM-style replacement for 2-foot T8 fluorescent lamps in fixtures that accept standard G13 bi-pin bases, operating in either ballast-compatible or direct-wire bypass mode.
Installation should be performed by a qualified electrician in accordance with NEC requirements and the fixture manufacturer's instructions. When bypassing the ballast for direct-wire operation, de-energize the circuit at the breaker and verify absence of voltage before rewiring. Follow the lamp's labeled wiring diagram for single-ended or double-ended bypass to avoid shock hazard. Type A ballast-compatible mode requires a verified compatible electronic ballast — magnetic ballasts are not supported.
