The QUIKTRON 570-140-007 is a 7-foot Category 5e (Cat5e) snagless patch cable designed for structured network wiring in commercial and light industrial environments. The snagless boot protects the RJ45 locking tab during routing and removal, reducing connector damage in dense patch panel installations. Finished in orange for easy visual identification by cable run or network segment, this cable supports standard 10/100/1000BASE-T Ethernet applications. Licensed electricians, low-voltage technicians, and network installers use this cable for data closet terminations and device connections.
The 570-140-007 is suited for use in telecommunications rooms, server racks, and horizontal cable runs where short-distance flexible patch connections are required. The 7-foot length covers typical switch-to-patch-panel distances and workstation drops without excess slack. Orange jacket color is commonly used in facilities that follow color-coded cabling standards for network segmentation or VLAN identification.
Designed as a standard RJ45 Cat5e patch cable for use with Cat5e or Cat6 patch panels, switches, routers, and network-connected devices in residential and commercial structured wiring systems.
Installation is performed by low-voltage technicians or network cabling professionals. No special tools are required beyond standard cable management hardware. Follow TIA/EIA-568 guidelines for patch cable bend radius and strain relief when routing through cable managers or D-rings. Do not exceed the rated bend radius of the cable, as sharp bends can degrade signal performance.
