The QUIKTRON 566-130-003 is a CAT6 ethernet patch cable finished in red with a 3-foot length and no boot on the connectors. It carries structured network data between switches, patch panels, routers, and end devices in commercial and residential low-voltage installations. The unbooted RJ45 connectors allow for easier insertion and removal in dense patch panel environments where space between ports is limited. CAT6 construction supports Gigabit Ethernet and is backward compatible with CAT5e infrastructure. Low-voltage technicians and network installers use this cable for horizontal runs, equipment rack dressing, and point-to-point device connections.
This patch cable is suited for structured cabling installations in office environments, data closets, server rooms, and residential network panels. The red jacket color is commonly used for color-coded network management schemes, making it easy to identify specific circuits or VLANs at a glance. At 3 feet, it fits comfortably between adjacent rack-mounted equipment without excess slack. The no-boot design is preferred when working in high-density patch panels where booted cables create clearance problems.
Designed as a standard CAT6 patch cable compatible with RJ45 ports on switches, routers, patch panels, and network-enabled devices following TIA-568 structured cabling standards.
Installation is performed by low-voltage technicians or network cabling professionals. No special tools are required beyond standard cable management hardware. Verify that both endpoint ports are CAT6 or CAT5e rated before installation. Avoid sharp bends or crimping the cable, as this can degrade signal performance.
