The QUIETFLEX 765c is a UV-inhibited flexible air duct designed for forced-air HVAC distribution in residential, commercial, and manufactured home applications. Built with a polyester and fiberglass construction and a UV-inhibited black polyethylene vapor barrier jacket, this duct delivers R8 insulation performance to minimize heat gain and loss through the duct wall. The 7-inch diameter and 25-foot length make it well suited for branch runs off a main trunk or plenum in a variety of system configurations. HVAC installers and sheet metal contractors are the primary users of this product.
The 765c is appropriate for use in residential and light commercial forced-air systems where high insulation value and resistance to UV degradation are required. The UV-inhibited outer jacket makes it suitable for installations with incidental light exposure, such as attic or crawlspace runs where some ambient light may be present. With a continuous temperature rating of -20 to 180 degrees F and an intermittent rating up to 200 degrees F, this duct handles standard heating and cooling supply air conditions without degradation. Its 6000 feet-per-minute velocity rating supports a wide range of system designs.
Designed as an OEM-style flexible duct for residential, commercial, and manufactured home forced-air HVAC distribution systems. Suitable for standard 7-inch duct connections in supply and return branch applications.
Installation should be performed by a licensed HVAC technician or qualified contractor following local mechanical codes and SMACNA flexible duct installation guidelines. Power down the air handling system before making duct connections. Avoid sharp bends or compression of the duct, as both reduce airflow efficiency and effective R-value. Secure all connections with approved clamps and mastic or UL-listed tape rated for flexible duct use.
