The QUIETFLEX 06SERIESBAG is an aluminum uninsulated flexible duct connector designed for low-pressure air distribution applications in residential and light commercial HVAC systems. Constructed from aluminum, this flex duct connector provides a lightweight, corrosion-resistant solution for connecting duct runs, branch takeoffs, and terminal equipment. The 6-inch diameter by 25-foot length format gives installers a full-length segment ready for field cutting to required lengths. HVAC technicians and sheet metal mechanics rely on this connector type where a non-insulated, bare aluminum flex product is specified by design or code.
This connector is suited for supply and return air duct applications in forced-air heating and cooling systems. The uninsulated design makes it appropriate for installations where thermal insulation is handled externally or where code allows bare flex in conditioned spaces. Typical use cases include connecting air handlers to supply plenum boots, short transition runs, and equipment connections in attics, crawlspaces, and mechanical rooms where a separate insulation wrap will be applied over the assembly.
Designed as an OEM-style replacement and general-use flex duct connector for 6-inch diameter supply or return air duct applications in residential and light commercial forced-air HVAC systems.
Installation should be performed by a licensed HVAC technician or qualified sheet metal mechanic in accordance with SMACNA duct construction standards and local mechanical codes. Power down and lock out the air handling unit before making duct connections. Secure both ends of the flex connector to sheet metal collars using approved draw bands or clamps, and ensure the connector is fully extended without compression or sharp bends to maintain rated airflow. Avoid exceeding the minimum bend radius of the product to prevent flow restriction or liner damage.
