The PROTO J7350H is a 6-point impact socket designed for heavy-duty fastening and removal tasks in professional trade environments. Built from alloy steel, it accepts a 1/2 inch square drive and fits a 1-9/16 inch hex fastener. The 6-point geometry concentrates force on the flat sides of the fastener rather than the corners, reducing the risk of rounding under high-torque conditions. At 3-1/2 inches overall length, it provides clearance in recessed or obstructed fastener locations. This socket meets ASME B107.2 standards and carries a limited lifetime warranty. It is intended for use with 1/2 inch drive impact wrenches and ratchets used by mechanics, pipefitters, and millwrights.
The J7350H is suited for industrial maintenance, mechanical assembly, and field service work where 1-9/16 inch fasteners are common. Typical applications include structural bolting, heavy equipment repair, pipe flange connections, and machinery installation. The alloy steel construction handles the repeated shock loads generated by pneumatic and cordless impact drivers without cracking or deforming under normal use conditions.
Designed as an OEM-style replacement and service socket compatible with standard 1/2 inch square drive impact wrenches, air ratchets, and manual ratchets used in industrial and mechanical service applications.
Install and remove with a 1/2 inch drive impact wrench or ratchet only. Do not use impact sockets with non-impact hand tools that are not rated for shock loading. Inspect the socket for cracks or deformation before each use and remove from service if damage is found. Always ensure the drive retainer or hog ring is fully engaged before applying torque to prevent the socket from ejecting during use.
