The PROTO J5535M is a 35 mm, 12-point hand socket built for 3/4 inch drive ratchets and breaker bars. Machined from alloy steel with a chrome-plated finish, it delivers the corrosion resistance and surface hardness required for repeated use in professional shop and field environments. The standard-length design measures 2-9/32 inches overall, fitting most fastener access situations without the added reach of a deep socket. Licensed HVAC, plumbing, and mechanical trades rely on this size range for equipment mounting hardware, flange bolts, and large hex fasteners common on commercial and industrial systems.
The J5535M is suited for heavy-duty hand-drive applications where a 3/4 inch drive tool provides the torque needed to break loose or seat large fasteners. Standard-length geometry keeps the socket compact for confined-space access. The 12-point configuration engages fasteners in more rotational positions than a 6-point socket, useful when swing arc is limited. This socket is not tether-capable and is intended for use in environments where drop prevention is managed by other means.
Designed as a standard OEM-style hand socket for use with 3/4 inch drive ratchets, breaker bars, extensions, and torque wrenches conforming to ASME and SAE drive-tool standards.
Installation and removal of large fasteners with this socket should be performed by qualified mechanical or trade technicians. Ensure the drive tool and socket are fully seated before applying torque to prevent rounding of the fastener or damage to the socket. Inspect the socket for cracks or wear before each use and remove from service if damage is found. This socket is not rated for impact driver use.
