Install and remove using a 1/2 inch drive ratchet or torque wrench rated for the fastener application. Ensure the socket is fully seated on the fastener before applying torque to prevent slipping or rounding. Inspect the socket and drive square for wear or cracks before use, and remove the socket from service if the drive detent or socket walls show visible damage. No power tools should be used with a hand-rated socket unless the socket is explicitly rated for impact use.
