The PROMAX US362324 is a solid carbide corner radius end mill designed for precision milling of non-ferrous metals. It features a 1/2 inch cutting diameter with a 3/4 inch straight-cylindrical shank, providing added stability during extra-long-reach operations. The 2.25 inch length of cut and 5 inch overall length make this tool well suited for deep-cavity and extended-reach applications where standard-length end mills fall short. A ZrN (zirconium nitride) PVD coating reduces friction and improves wear resistance on non-ferrous workpiece materials. The variable helix at 42.5 degrees helps reduce chatter and harmonics during cutting. The 0.030 inch corner radius protects the cutting edge and improves surface finish at part corners. Licensed machinists and CNC tooling technicians are the primary installers and users of this tool.
This end mill is built for roughing operations in non-ferrous metals such as aluminum, brass, copper, and similar materials. The coarse pitch, right-hand flute direction, and right-hand cutting direction make it a practical choice for high-volume material removal in production CNC milling environments. The centercutting geometry allows plunge entry directly into a workpiece. The extra-long length type accommodates deep pockets, tall fixtures, and workpieces requiring extended reach beyond standard tooling. It mounts in standard toolholders compatible with straight-cylindrical shank profiles.
The US362324 is designed for use with standard toolholders accepting a 3/4 inch straight-cylindrical shank. Primary workpiece material compatibility is non-ferrous metal (material code N). Part of the PROMAX Series US362.
This tool is installed and operated by trained machinists and CNC tooling technicians. Ensure the spindle is fully powered down and the machine is in a safe state before changing or inspecting tooling. Seat the shank fully in the toolholder and torque the retention mechanism to the toolholder manufacturer's specification. Verify runout after installation before beginning a cut, as excessive runout will accelerate wear and degrade surface finish on close-tolerance workpieces.
