The PROMAX US362292 is a solid carbide corner radius end mill designed for precision material removal in non-ferrous metal machining applications. Built on the US362 series platform, it features a 3/4-inch shank diameter, a 1/4-inch corner radius, and a variable helix flute geometry that reduces chatter and improves surface finish during roughing operations. The ZrN (zirconium nitride) PVD coating applied via PROMAX PowerLayer technology increases surface hardness and reduces built-up edge on aluminum, copper, brass, and similar non-ferrous workpiece materials. Machinists and CNC operators working in job shops, aerospace, and general manufacturing will find this tool suited for aggressive material removal with tight radius control.
This end mill is intended for use in CNC machining centers and manual mills equipped with a compatible straight-cylindrical shank toolholder. The single-end, right-hand cutting configuration with a right-hand flute direction makes it a standard drop-in for conventional climb and conventional milling strategies on non-ferrous stock. With a 2-inch length of cut and a 3-inch overall length, it provides extended reach for deeper pocketing and profiling operations where standard-length tooling falls short.
Designed for use with straight-cylindrical shank toolholders. Primary workpiece material classification is non-ferrous metal (material code N), consistent with aluminum, brass, copper, and similar alloys. For use with standard CNC toolholding systems accepting a 3/4-inch straight shank.
Installation should be performed by a qualified machinist or CNC setup technician. Power down and lock out the spindle drive before mounting or removing tooling. Seat the shank to the minimum recommended insertion depth specified by the toolholder manufacturer to ensure runout is within tolerance. Verify spindle speed and feed rate are appropriate for the workpiece material and depth of cut before initiating a cutting cycle.
