The PROMAX US362192 is a solid carbide corner radius end mill designed for high-performance material removal in non-ferrous metal applications. The tool features a 0.625-inch mill diameter, a 1.625-inch length of cut, and a 0.125-inch corner radius that reduces edge chipping and extends tool life at the cutting perimeter. The ZrN (zirconium nitride) PVD coating improves surface hardness and reduces friction against non-ferrous workpiece materials such as aluminum, brass, and copper alloys. A variable helix geometry promotes chip evacuation and reduces harmonics during aggressive roughing passes. This end mill is installed by machinists and CNC operators working in job shops, aerospace, and general metalworking environments.
The US362192 is suited for roughing operations on non-ferrous metals where corner integrity and chip control are priorities. The coarse pitch, three-flute configuration allows higher chip loads per flute compared to four-flute designs, making it practical for slotting and peripheral milling in softer materials. The 0.5-inch straight cylindrical shank fits standard toolholders with a matching 0.5-inch bore. The single-end, right-hand cutting and right-hand flute direction are compatible with conventional CNC milling machine spindles. Overall length is 4 inches, providing adequate reach for most standard setups without requiring extended-reach tooling.
Designed for use with standard 0.5-inch bore toolholders. Intended for CNC milling machines running right-hand spindle rotation. Optimized for non-ferrous metal workpiece materials per Series US362 design parameters.
Installation is performed by a machinist or CNC setup technician. Power down and lock out the machine spindle before inserting or removing the end mill from the toolholder. Seat the shank fully to the specified minimum insertion depth for the toolholder in use to prevent pullout under cutting loads. Verify runout with a dial indicator after tool installation and before beginning a cut.
