The PROMAX US362052 is a single-end corner radius end mill designed for high-performance material removal in non-ferrous metal applications. Built from micrograin solid carbide and finished with a ZrN (zirconium nitride) PVD coating, this tool delivers consistent cutting performance in aluminum, brass, copper, and similar workpiece materials. The 1/2-inch mill diameter pairs with a 1-inch length of cut and a 0.030-inch corner radius, producing a controlled edge break that reduces chipping at part corners. A variable helix flute geometry minimizes chatter and vibration during roughing passes. This tool is installed by machinists and CNC programmers working in job shops, production facilities, and aerospace or automotive contract manufacturing environments.
The US362052 is suited for roughing operations on non-ferrous metal workpieces where a corner radius profile is required to meet part geometry or reduce stress concentrations at shoulder transitions. The short-length flute design provides rigidity in standard depth-of-cut applications. The straight cylindrical shank measures 1/4 inch in diameter and seats directly into a compatible toolholder. The coarse pitch and three-flute configuration support aggressive chip evacuation without recutting, which is critical when working aluminum or other gummy non-ferrous alloys.
Designed for use with standard straight-cylindrical toolholders accepting a 1/4-inch shank diameter. Primary workpiece material is non-ferrous metal (material code N), including aluminum and similar alloys. Part of the PROMAX Series US362 corner radius end mill line.
This tool is installed by qualified machinists or CNC setup technicians. Ensure the machine spindle is fully stopped and locked out before changing or measuring tooling. Seat the shank fully into the toolholder and verify runout before beginning a cut. Consult the machine tool manufacturer and toolholder specifications for recommended clamping torque and projection length - do not exceed the toolholder's rated capacity for the shank diameter.
