The PROMAX 129-41614 is a solid carbide corner radius end mill designed for precision milling operations in metalworking and machining environments. Built from micrograin solid carbide and coated with AlTiN for heat and wear resistance, it cuts a 1/4 inch diameter path with a 0.03 inch corner radius for controlled edge blending and reduced stress concentrations at part corners. The 40-degree helix angle promotes smooth chip evacuation during high-speed cuts. With four flutes and a 3/4 inch length of cut, this single-end mill delivers a balance of rigidity and material removal suited to finish and semi-finish milling work. It is installed and operated by machinists and CNC programmers in job shops and manufacturing facilities.
This end mill is suited for milling ferrous metals, hardened steels, and high-temperature alloys where AlTiN coating provides thermal protection at the cutting edge. The 2-1/2 inch overall length and 1/4 inch shank diameter make it compatible with standard 1/4 inch collet systems and tool holders on vertical machining centers and CNC mills. The right-hand flute direction and right-hand cutting direction are standard for conventional CNC milling setups. Series 129 designation identifies it within the PROMAX regular-length corner radius end mill family.
Designed for use with standard 1/4 inch collet chucks and end mill holders on CNC vertical machining centers and manual mills. Series 129 regular-length corner radius end mill.
Installation is performed by a machinist or CNC setup technician. Ensure the machine spindle is fully stopped and the tool holder is clean and free of debris before seating the shank. Torque the collet nut to the tool holder manufacturer specification. Verify runout with a dial indicator before beginning a production cut. This end mill is not center-cutting - it cannot be plunged axially and must be ramped or helically interpolated into the workpiece.
