The PROMAX 119-04846 is a solid carbide roughing finishing end mill designed for high-material-removal-rate milling operations where surface finish also matters. The tool carries a 3/4-inch diameter with a 0.03-inch corner radius, a 40-degree right-hand helix, and a ZrN (zirconium nitride) coating that extends tool life in ferrous and non-ferrous materials. With three flutes and a 3.25-inch length of cut, this end mill handles deep-pocket and side-milling passes in a single tool. It is installed by machinists and CNC operators working in job shops, tool rooms, and production machining environments.
This end mill is suited for peripheral and slot milling in both roughing and semi-finishing applications. The extra-long 6-inch overall length and 3.25-inch length of cut make it appropriate for deep-cavity work where standard-length tools cannot reach. The corner radius end style reduces corner chipping and stress concentration at the cutting edge, improving tool longevity in aggressive cuts. Right-hand cutting direction makes it compatible with conventional right-hand spindle setups found on virtually all vertical and horizontal CNC machining centers.
Designed as a drop-in replacement for standard 3/4-inch straight-cylindrical shank end mills used in CNC machining centers and manual knee mills with ER, CAT, BT, or similar toolholding systems accepting a 3/4-inch straight shank.
Installation should be performed by a qualified machinist or CNC setup technician. Power down and lock out the spindle drive before loading or removing the tool from the holder. Ensure the shank is fully seated to the minimum engagement depth recommended by the toolholder manufacturer and that the collet or set-screw holder is torqued per the holder specification. Confirm runout with a dial indicator before beginning production cuts to avoid premature tool wear or workpiece damage.
