The PROMAX 119-04816 is a solid carbide roughing finishing end mill designed for aggressive material removal combined with a quality surface finish in a single operation. Built with 3 flutes and a 0.03 inch corner radius, this end mill reduces chatter and extends tool life in demanding milling applications. The ZrN (Zirconium Nitride) coating improves hardness and wear resistance, making it well suited for ferrous and non-ferrous materials. With a 40-degree helix angle and right-hand cutting direction, it provides efficient chip evacuation and smooth cutting action. Licensed machinists and CNC operators working in job shop or production environments will find this tool handles both roughing passes and semi-finish work without a tool change.
This end mill is used in vertical and horizontal milling operations, CNC machining centers, and manual knee mills where a corner radius profile is required to reduce stress concentrations in part features. The 3/4 inch diameter and 1.625 inch length of cut make it a practical choice for medium-depth pocketing, slotting, and profiling in steel, aluminum, cast iron, and similar machinable alloys. Its single-end design and 3/4 inch shank diameter allow direct mounting in standard end mill holders, collet chucks, and shrink-fit tooling systems.
Designed as an OEM-style replacement or direct-use solid carbide end mill for standard 3/4 inch end mill holders, collet chucks, and shrink-fit tooling systems used in CNC and manual milling applications.
Installation should be performed by a qualified machinist following the tooling system manufacturer guidelines for runout, projection length, and clamping torque. Ensure the spindle and tool holder are clean and free of debris before seating the shank. Confirm the tool is secured to the minimum recommended shank engagement depth for the holder type in use. Always verify spindle direction and feed-rate parameters in the CNC program before initiating a cut.
