The PROMAX 119-04014 is a roughing and finishing corner radius end mill designed for high-performance material removal and edge finishing in CNC milling applications. Built from micrograin carbide and coated with AlTiN (aluminum titanium nitride), this tool handles demanding cutting conditions including dry and high-speed machining. The 0.03 inch corner radius reduces stress concentration at the cutting edge and improves surface finish on workpiece corners. With a 40-degree helix angle and three flutes configured for right-hand cutting, it delivers efficient chip evacuation and smooth finish passes in a single tool. Machinists, tool-and-die shops, and CNC operators working in ferrous and non-ferrous materials will find this a reliable production tool.
The 119-04014 suits general milling operations where both roughing stock removal and finish passes are required without a tool change. The 5/8 inch diameter and 1.25 inch length of cut make it appropriate for medium-depth pocketing, slotting, and profile milling on vertical and horizontal machining centers. The straight-cylindrical shank seats directly into standard ER and end mill holders. Single-end configuration means the tool is replaced rather than flipped when worn, keeping setup time low in production environments.
Designed as an OEM-style replacement or direct-use cutting tool for CNC machining centers accepting a 5/8 inch straight-cylindrical shank end mill in standard ER or end mill holder tooling systems.
Installation is performed by qualified machinists or CNC setup technicians. Ensure the spindle is fully stopped and the machine is in a safe state before loading or removing tooling. Seat the shank fully into the collet or holder and torque the retention nut to the holder manufacturer's specification. Verify runout with a dial indicator before beginning a production cut, as excessive runout accelerates edge wear on carbide tooling.
