The PROMAX 113-06414 is a single-end ball end mill engineered for both roughing and finishing operations in demanding metalworking applications. Built from submicron-grade solid carbide and coated with AlTiN via a PVD process, this tool delivers heat resistance and hardness at the cutting edge. It features a 1-inch mill diameter, 1.75-inch length of cut, and a 35-degree medium helix angle across 3 right-hand helical flutes. Overall length is 4 inches with a 1-inch straight-cylindrical shank. Licensed machinists and CNC operators use this tool where tool life and surface finish consistency are both priorities.
This end mill is suited for milling steel, stainless steel, cast iron, superalloys, and titanium - workpiece material codes P, M, K, and S. It performs in standard-length setups without extended reach requirements and runs without coolant-through capability, making it compatible with conventional flood or mist cooling arrangements. Its helical flute geometry supports chip evacuation in slotting, profiling, and contouring cuts where a ball nose profile is required.
Designed as an OEM-style replacement and standard-duty cutting tool for CNC machining centers and manual mills accepting a 1-inch straight-cylindrical shank. Primary workpiece materials are steel, stainless steel, cast iron, superalloys, and titanium.
Installation of this end mill is performed by qualified machinists or CNC setup technicians. The machine spindle must be fully stopped and the control placed in an E-stop or tool-change safe state before inserting or removing the tool. Verify collet or end mill holder bore matches the 1-inch shank diameter and that runout is within acceptable limits before beginning a cut. Consult the machine manufacturer and applicable shop safety standards for speed, feed, and depth-of-cut parameters appropriate to the workpiece material.
