The PROMAX 113-04814 is a solid carbide ball end mill designed for demanding metal removal in milling applications. The 0.75-inch diameter cutter features three helical flutes with a 35-degree helix angle and an AlTiN (aluminum titanium nitride) PVD coating for extended tool life at elevated cutting temperatures. With a 1.625-inch length of cut and 4-inch overall length, this single-end mill handles both roughing and finishing passes on ferrous and high-temperature alloys. The submicron carbide grade provides the hardness and edge retention needed for consistent performance in steel, stainless steel, cast iron, and superalloys including titanium. This tool is installed and operated by machinists and CNC programmers in job shop and production environments.
This end mill is suited for milling operations in steel (ISO P), stainless steel (ISO M), cast iron (ISO K), and superalloys and titanium (ISO S) workpieces. Its ball-nose geometry produces contoured and profiled surfaces common in die and mold work, aerospace components, and general precision machining. The 0.75-inch straight cylindrical shank fits standard ER and side-lock toolholders. The standard length configuration makes it appropriate for general-depth pockets and profiles where extended reach is not required.
Designed for use in steel, stainless steel, cast iron, and superalloys including titanium (ISO material codes P, M, K, S). Accepts standard 0.75-inch straight cylindrical shank toolholders.
This tool is installed by machinists in CNC machining centers or manual knee mills using compatible 0.75-inch bore toolholders. Verify runout and toolholder clamping force before operation, as excess runout accelerates edge wear on carbide tooling. Always confirm spindle direction is right-hand before engaging the cut. Follow machine manufacturer and tooling guidelines for appropriate speeds and feeds based on workpiece material.
