The PROMAX 113-03212 is a single-end ball end mill designed for both roughing and finishing operations in demanding machining environments. Built from submicron-grade solid carbide and finished with a TiCN (Titanium Carbonitride) PVD coating, this tool delivers high wear resistance and extended tool life in difficult-to-machine materials. It features a 0.5 inch mill diameter, a 1.25 inch length of cut, and a 3 inch overall length. The three-flute, right-hand helical design with a 35-degree helix angle promotes efficient chip evacuation and stable cutting performance across a range of workpiece materials.
This end mill is suited for use in CNC machining centers and manual milling applications where precision and surface finish are required. It is engineered for cutting steel, stainless steel, cast iron, superalloys, and titanium - material categories P, M, K, and S. Its standard-length profile and straight-cylindrical 0.5 inch shank make it compatible with common ER collet chucks and end mill holders found in most shop environments. It is a practical choice for machinists, tool and die makers, and production CNC operators running ferrous and exotic-alloy workpieces.
Designed for use with steel, stainless steel, cast iron, superalloys, and titanium workpieces. Fits standard 0.5 inch ER collet chucks and end mill holders. Part of the PROMAX Series 113 solid carbide ball end mill family.
Installation and tool changes should be performed by a qualified machinist with the spindle fully stopped and the machine in a locked-out state. Ensure the shank is seated to the full recommended grip depth in the tool holder and that the collet or chuck is torqued per the holder manufacturer specifications. Inspect the tool for chips or edge damage before each use. Verify spindle speed, feed rate, and depth of cut against published cutting data for the workpiece material before beginning a cut.
