The PROGRESS LIGHTING 3010 is a button-style flush mount photocontrol designed for automatic dusk-to-dawn switching of outdoor lighting loads. Rated at 120 VAC (50/60 Hz), it supports tungsten loads up to 2000 watts and ballast loads up to 1800 VA. The enclosure is molded Lexan, and the cadmium sulphide photocell is conformal coated to resist moisture and airborne contaminants. A built-in delay of up to two minutes prevents false switching from vehicle headlights or lightning. Licensed electricians and qualified lighting contractors handle installation. UL 773A listed for both Canada and the US.
The 3010 is intended for residential and light-commercial outdoor lighting applications including lawn lighting, pole lanterns, and walkway lights. It mounts flush into a standard raintight junction box and is compatible with FS-type outdoor junction boxes using the included aluminum plate and gasket. The photocell responds to a light spectrum close to human vision, with a turn-on threshold of 1 to 5 footcandles and a turn-off threshold of 3 to 15 footcandles, yielding a 3:1 turn-off ratio. The unit also works with screw-base compact fluorescent lamps.
Suitable for lawn lighting, pole lantern, and walkway light applications. Mounts into standard raintight junction boxes and FS-type outdoor junction boxes using the included aluminum plate and gasket.
Installation should be performed by a licensed electrician in accordance with the NEC and applicable local codes. De-energize the circuit at the breaker before wiring. Connect using the 16 AWG, 9-inch wire leads provided; do not exceed the rated tungsten or ballast load for the circuit. Ensure the junction box is rated raintight for outdoor use before mounting.
