The PRO-SOURCE X-TR is a ratcheting hand tube and pipe cutter designed for cutting copper, aluminum, and brass tubing in the field or shop. The ratcheting mechanism allows controlled, progressive cuts in tight spaces where a full rotation is not possible. Cutting range runs from 1/4 inch minimum to 1-1/8 inch maximum tube outside diameter, covering the most common sizes encountered in HVAC refrigerant lines, plumbing supply runs, and light mechanical work. Installation Notes

This tool is used by HVAC technicians and plumbers for field tube cuts during installation or service. Before cutting any tubing on an active system, isolate and recover refrigerant per EPA Section 608 requirements, or shut off water supply and relieve line pressure as applicable. Score the tube evenly and advance the cutter wheel gradually with each ratchet pass to produce a clean, burr-minimized cut. Deburr the cut end with a reamer or deburring tool before flaring, brazing, or inserting into a press or compression fitting.
