The PRO-SOURCE PRO10447 is a wire-backed pleated air filter rated MERV 10 with 55% particle capture efficiency, designed for residential and light commercial HVAC applications. The 20 x 20 x 1 inch nominal size fits standard filter slots in air handlers, furnaces, and fan coil units. A wire-backed synthetic media pack maintains pleat geometry under airflow, preventing media collapse at velocities up to 300 feet per minute. The paperboard frame keeps the assembly square during installation and handling. Licensed HVAC technicians and maintenance professionals install this filter during routine service intervals or system commissioning.
This filter suits forced-air systems requiring a mid-grade filtration level. At MERV 10, it captures fine dust, pollen, mold spores, and some fine particulate that lower-rated filters pass through. With a rated airflow of 1,050 CFM and a maximum velocity of 300 FPM, it supports typical residential and small commercial air handler capacity without creating excessive static pressure drop. Initial resistance is 0.20 inches water gauge at 300 FPM, rising to a final resistance of 1.0 inch water gauge at end of service life. The filter is rated for environments up to 200 degrees F and is suitable for use with any HVAC unit accepting a 20 x 20 x 1 inch filter.
Designed for use with any HVAC unit accepting a nominal 20 x 20 x 1 inch filter, including forced-air furnaces, air handlers, and fan coil units. Actual filter dimensions are 19-1/2 x 19-1/2 x 3/4 inches.
HVAC technicians should power down the air handler or furnace at the disconnect before servicing the filter. Confirm airflow direction arrow on the filter frame aligns with system airflow toward the blower. Inspect the filter slot and frame rails for damage or bypass gaps before insertion. Filters should be replaced according to system manufacturer recommendations or when final resistance is reached, whichever occurs first.
