The PRO-SOURCE PRO-SG-18045-65 is a straight-handle pencil air die grinder built for precision grinding, deburring, porting, and surface finishing in tight spaces. Powered by compressed air, it delivers 0.55 horsepower at a top speed of 65,000 RPM, making it well suited for high-speed rotary work on metal, plastic, and composite materials. It accepts a 1/8 inch collet for standard die grinder bits and carbide burrs. Air consumption is 1.71 CFM at a working pressure of 90 psi. The rear exhaust directs spent air away from the work surface and the operator. This tool is intended for use by machinists, fabricators, HVAC technicians, and other trade professionals who require a compact, high-speed rotary tool for detailed work.
The PRO-SG-18045-65 fits into applications where a full-size die grinder is too large or too heavy. Common use cases include weld cleanup, port matching, gasket surface prep, and deburring drilled holes in sheet metal or pipe. The straight handle design allows access into recessed areas and along pipe runs where angle grinders cannot reach. It is equally at home in a production shop environment or a field service setting where compressed air is available.
Designed as a standard 1/8 inch collet straight die grinder compatible with rotary accessories conforming to that collet size, including carbide burrs, mounted grinding points, and cut-off wheels rated for speeds at or above 65,000 RPM.
A licensed or qualified technician should verify that the air supply line and fittings are rated for the required operating pressure before connecting the tool. Disconnect the air supply before changing collet accessories, and ensure all rotary bits are rated for the maximum RPM of this grinder. Always wear appropriate eye and face protection when operating a high-speed rotary tool. Follow applicable shop safety standards and compressed-air equipment guidelines for hose sizing and pressure regulation.
