The PRO-SOURCE PC68-DOT-86 is a straight push-to-connect tube fitting machined from brass, designed for quick, tool-free tube connections in general-purpose pneumatic and fluid systems. One end accepts a 1/2-inch outside diameter tube via a push-to-connect mechanism, while the opposite end terminates in a male NPT thread for direct port or manifold installation. The fitting meets DOT standards, making it suitable for air brake and compressed-air line applications. Overall length is 31.10 millimeters (approximately 1.22 inches). At 0.48 pounds, the fitting is compact and easy to handle during installation in tight plumbing or pneumatic runs.
This fitting is intended for use in general-purpose fluid and compressed-air systems across residential, commercial, and light industrial environments. It is commonly installed in air lines, pneumatic control circuits, and compressed-air distribution runs where a reliable push-to-connect tube entry and a threaded port connection are required in a single inline component. Plumbers, pipefitters, and pneumatic system technicians are the primary installers. The brass construction provides good corrosion resistance for dry air, water, and many common service fluids.
Designed for general-purpose use with 1/2-inch outside diameter tubing and standard NPT-threaded ports in compressed-air, pneumatic, and fluid distribution systems.
Depressurize and lock out the system before removing or installing any fittings. Apply thread sealant or PTFE tape to the male NPT threads in accordance with applicable plumbing and pneumatic codes before tightening into the receiving port. Insert the tube fully into the push-to-connect end until it seats against the internal stop, then give a slight pull-back to confirm the collet has engaged. Do not exceed the pressure or temperature ratings of the fitting for the intended service fluid.
