The PRO-SOURCE PC68-DOT-66 is a straight push-to-connect tube fitting machined from brass, designed for fast, tool-free connections in compressed air, pneumatic, and general-purpose fluid systems. One end accepts a 3/8-inch outside diameter tube via push-to-connect, while the other end is a male NPT threaded port for direct installation into manifolds, valves, or ported equipment. The fitting carries a DOT standard rating, making it appropriate for brake and air system lines in addition to standard shop plumbing. Overall length is 29.10 mm (approximately 1.15 inches). At 0.45 pounds, it is a compact, single-piece brass body fitting suited for high-cycle or vibration-prone installations.
This fitting is used in residential and commercial pneumatic plumbing, compressed air distribution, and general-purpose tubing runs where a reliable push-to-connect-to-NPT transition is needed. Typical install scenarios include connecting flexible poly or nylon tubing to threaded ports on solenoid valves, pressure regulators, air compressors, and pneumatic controls. The DOT rating expands its use to automotive air brake and trailer brake line applications. It is appropriate for both new installations and service replacements in trade environments handled by plumbers, HVAC technicians, and pneumatic system mechanics.
Designed for general-purpose use with 3/8-inch OD tubing in pneumatic, compressed air, and DOT-regulated air line systems. Compatible with standard NPT-threaded ports on valves, manifolds, regulators, and pneumatic equipment.
Installation is performed by plumbers, pipefitters, or pneumatic system technicians. Depressurize the system completely before removing or installing any fittings. Apply appropriate thread sealant or PTFE tape to the male NPT threads per standard practice before threading into the port. Ensure tubing is cut cleanly and squarely and inserted fully into the push-to-connect end until it seats; tug the tube to confirm retention before re-pressurizing.
