The PRO-SOURCE JTC-320 is an enclosed-feed hand tube cutter designed to cut soft metal tubing in the field or shop. With a cutting capacity range of 1/8 inch to 1-1/4 inches, it handles the tube sizes most commonly encountered in HVAC refrigerant line work, plumbing, and instrumentation runs. The enclosed feed wheel mechanism keeps the cutter wheel aligned and advances the blade with consistent pressure, producing a clean, square cut without deforming the tube wall. Overall length is 5 inches, making it compact enough to work in confined mechanical spaces. The tool weighs 0.83 pounds and fits comfortably in a tool pouch or belt bag.
This cutter is suited for residential and light commercial service work where technicians are cutting copper refrigerant or water supply tubing, aluminum tubing, or brass tubing. Typical applications include cutting ACR copper lines during system installation or repair, trimming soft copper for flare or swage connections, and cutting aluminum or brass tubing in instrumentation and low-pressure fluid systems. After cutting, ream the tube end to remove the internal burr before making any flare or fitting connection, as burrs can cause leaks or restrict flow. Follow applicable codes such as IFGC or IPC for gas and plumbing tube work, and verify refrigerant system work complies with EPA Section 608 requirements.
