The PRO-SOURCE 90340900209 is a Schedule 80 CPVC female adapter designed for 1-inch pipe systems. It connects a slip socket on one end to a female iron pipe thread (FIPT) on the other, allowing a transition from a solvent-welded CPVC line to a threaded fitting or valve. Schedule 80 wall thickness provides greater pressure tolerance compared to Schedule 40, making this adapter appropriate for industrial and demanding commercial plumbing applications. Plumbers and pipefitters install this fitting wherever a CPVC system needs to terminate into or connect with a threaded component.
This adapter is suited for chemical processing lines, industrial water systems, and commercial plumbing installations where CPVC is specified for its corrosion resistance and elevated temperature tolerance. The slip x FIPT configuration is a common arrangement when transitioning from a solvent-weld CPVC mainline to a threaded valve, pump connection, or equipment inlet. It is packaged individually and is appropriate for both new construction and repair work.
Designed as an OEM-style replacement or new-install fitting for 1-inch Schedule 80 CPVC piping systems with slip and female iron pipe thread connections.
Installation should be performed by a licensed plumber in accordance with applicable local plumbing codes and ASTM standards for CPVC solvent cementing. Shut off and depressurize the system fully before cutting into an existing line. Use CPVC-rated primer and solvent cement on the slip end; do not substitute PVC cement. Apply thread sealant tape or compound rated for use with CPVC on the FIPT connection before threading in the mating component.
