The PRO-SOURCE 90340900109 is a Schedule 80 CPVC female adapter fitting designed to transition between a slip socket connection and a female iron pipe thread (FIPT) connection in plastic piping systems. At 3/4 inch in size, it joins plain-end CPVC pipe on the slip side to a male-threaded fitting or valve on the FIPT side. Schedule 80 wall thickness provides greater pressure tolerance compared to Schedule 40, making it suitable for industrial and commercial plumbing applications where higher system pressures or chemical resistance are required. Plumbers and pipefitters install this type of adapter when connecting CPVC lines to threaded valves, pumps, or equipment connections. The fitting weighs 0.29 pounds.
This female adapter is used in residential and commercial plumbing systems, chemical processing lines, and industrial fluid handling where CPVC pipe is the specified material. The Slip x FIPT end configuration makes it a common choice when terminating a CPVC run into a threaded component such as a ball valve, pressure gauge, or pump port. It is sold individually and is appropriate for both new installation and repair work where a CPVC-to-threaded transition is needed.
Designed as an OEM-style replacement and new-installation fitting for Schedule 80 CPVC piping systems using 3/4 inch pipe with Slip x FIPT end connections.
Installation of CPVC fittings should be performed by a licensed plumber in accordance with applicable local plumbing codes and ASTM standards for CPVC solvent cementing. Shut off and depressurize the supply line completely before cutting into any existing pipe. Use CPVC-rated solvent cement and primer on the slip end only — do not apply solvent cement to the threaded FIPT connection. Apply thread sealant tape or compound rated for plastic fittings on the male threads that mate into the FIPT end to prevent leaks and avoid over-torquing, which can crack the fitting.
