The PRO-SOURCE 875-020C is a 2-inch Schedule 80 CPVC wye fitting designed for joining branch lines in pressurized piping systems. Molded from CPVC, this fitting handles higher-temperature and higher-pressure service than standard PVC fittings, making it appropriate for hot and cold water distribution, chemical handling lines, and industrial process piping. Slip end connections accept solvent-cement bonding for a leak-tight joint. At 2.08 pounds, the fitting is solid and dimensionally consistent with Schedule 80 standards. Licensed plumbers and pipefitters are the primary installers on commercial and industrial jobs where Schedule 80 is specified.
This wye fitting is suited for residential and commercial plumbing systems where a branch takeoff is needed in a 2-inch CPVC run. Common applications include hot and cold water supply distribution, chemical process lines tolerant of CPVC, and irrigation or hydronic branch connections where Schedule 80 wall thickness is required by the system design or local code. Slip connections make it compatible with standard CPVC solvent-cement joining procedures.
Designed as an OEM-style replacement or new-installation fitting for 2-inch Schedule 80 CPVC piping systems using solvent-cement slip connections.
Installation should be performed by a licensed plumber following applicable IPC or local plumbing code requirements. Shut off and depressurize the line completely before cutting in the fitting. Use a CPVC-rated solvent cement and primer; do not substitute PVC cement, as the formulation differs. Allow full cure time per the cement manufacturer instructions before re-pressurizing the system.
