The PRO-SOURCE 4430001850PRO is a bronze pneumatic breather vent muffler designed to reduce exhaust noise and filter contaminants at air release points in pneumatic systems. Threaded with a 1/8 inch male NPT connection, this compact muffler installs directly into valve exhausts, cylinder ports, and directional control valve outlets. It carries a 40-micron filtration rating, trapping particulates from the exhausted airstream. Rated for operating temperatures from 35 degrees F to 300 degrees F, it suits a wide range of industrial and commercial pneumatic applications. At 7/16 inches in overall length and 7/16 inches in overall width, it fits in tight spaces without obstructing adjacent components. Fluid power technicians and pneumatic system installers are the primary trades handling this fitting.
This breather vent muffler is suited for use in compressed air systems where controlled exhaust venting is required. Typical installations include directional control valves, solenoid valve exhausts, actuator ports, and pneumatic timer or relay exhaust outlets. The bronze construction resists corrosion in environments where moisture-laden air is exhausted. The compact overall dimensions make it appropriate for dense manifold assemblies and panel-mounted valve banks found in industrial automation, manufacturing equipment, and fluid power control panels.
Designed as an OEM-style replacement or new-installation muffler for pneumatic valves and actuators with 1/8 inch female NPT exhaust ports.
Installation is performed by fluid power technicians or pneumatic system mechanics. Depressurize and lock out the pneumatic circuit before removing or installing any exhaust port fitting. Thread engagement should be hand-tight plus wrench-snug using a standard open-end or adjustable wrench on the hex flat — avoid over-tightening bronze fittings into cast or aluminum valve bodies. Apply thread sealant compatible with compressed air service if required by the system design.
