The PRO-SOURCE 4410000150PRO is a sintered bronze pneumatic exhaust muffler designed to reduce noise at the exhaust port of directional control valves, cylinders, and other compressed air components. It threads directly into standard NPT exhaust ports and reduces exhaust noise to a rated 109 dB. The sintered bronze construction allows air to pass through a porous metal matrix, diffusing the exhaust blast and cutting sound levels without restricting system response. This muffler measures 2.875 inches in overall length with a 1.3125-inch overall width and weighs 0.34 pounds. It is installed by pneumatic technicians and maintenance mechanics on industrial and commercial compressed air systems.
This muffler is suited for use on pneumatic directional control valves, solenoid valves, cylinders, and air logic components that require a 1-inch Male NPT exhaust port connection. It performs across a wide service temperature range of 35 degrees F to 300 degrees F, making it appropriate for both indoor industrial environments and applications with elevated ambient temperatures. It is commonly found in manufacturing, automation, and process control installations where exhaust noise must be managed at the valve or actuator.
Designed as a standard replacement or new-installation exhaust muffler for pneumatic directional control valves, solenoid valves, and actuators with a 1-inch Male NPT exhaust port.
Installation is performed by pneumatic technicians or qualified maintenance personnel. Depressurize and lock out the compressed air supply before servicing any valve or actuator. Thread the muffler hand-tight into the exhaust port, then snug with a wrench using the 1.3125-inch hex — do not overtighten sintered bronze fittings, as the porous body can crack under excessive torque. Inspect the muffler periodically for clogging from compressor oil or particulate, which can restrict exhaust flow and affect actuator cycle times.
