The PRO-SOURCE 169-726 is a self-insulated MIG welder nozzle designed to guide and protect the wire feed path during MIG welding operations. It accommodates a wire outside diameter range from 0.023 inches up to 0.625 inches (5/8 inch), making it suitable for a wide range of wire gauges used in production and maintenance welding. The nozzle measures 2.25 inches in length with a 0.94-inch width and height profile, and weighs approximately 0.14 pounds. It is a direct replacement component for MIG welding guns and torches, installed by welders and fabricators as part of routine consumable maintenance.
This nozzle is used in MIG welding setups across light industrial, fabrication shop, and maintenance-and-repair environments. The self-insulated design reduces the risk of arc-outs caused by spatter contact between the nozzle body and the contact tip, which is a common issue in higher-amperage applications. It is suited for both short-circuit and spray-transfer welding processes depending on the wire and shielding gas combination in use.
Designed as an OEM-style replacement nozzle for MIG welding guns and torches that accept self-insulated nozzle configurations within the stated wire OD range.
Installation is performed by the welding operator or equipment technician as part of routine consumable replacement. Always power down and disconnect the welding machine before servicing the gun end. Thread or press the nozzle onto the gun body according to the torch manufacturer's instructions, ensuring a secure fit to prevent gas leakage or movement during operation. Inspect the contact tip and liner condition whenever the nozzle is replaced.
