Product Description

The PRO-SAFE PS-SA-LN18 is a two-leg shock absorbing lanyard designed for fall protection applications in general industry and construction environments. Built from polyester webbing and rated to 350 pounds load capacity, it extends 6 feet in length and connects to an anchor point via a locking rebar snap hook. The harness end uses locking snap hooks on both legs. An integrated shock absorber deploys on sudden load, reducing the force transmitted to the worker during a fall arrest event. Licensed safety professionals and competent persons in fall protection install and inspect this lanyard as part of a complete personal fall arrest system.

The PS-SA-LN18 is suited for residential and commercial construction, steel erection, roofing, and maintenance work at elevation where a two-leg configuration provides continuous 100 percent tie-off capability. The locking rebar snap hook on the anchorage end is compatible with rebar, structural members, and other anchorage connectors that meet minimum strength requirements. This lanyard is not rated for arc flash work. Yellow webbing provides high visibility for quick visual inspection before each use.

Installation Notes

Installation and inspection must be performed by a competent person trained in fall protection per applicable OSHA and ANSI Z359 standards. Shut down or isolate all hazardous energy sources before beginning work at elevation. Inspect the lanyard, shock absorber pack, and all hardware for damage, wear, or contamination before each use — remove from service immediately if any defect is found or if the shock absorber has deployed. Anchorage points must be capable of supporting at least 5,000 pounds per attached worker or be designed by a qualified person.
