The PRO-SAFE PS-280HP241R01 is a Type I, Class E and Class G hard hat designed for job site head protection in electrical and general construction environments. Built from high-density polyethylene (HDPE), this helmet features a 4-point ratchet suspension system made from HDPE and nylon for a secure, adjustable fit. At 1.7 pounds, it delivers meaningful impact protection without excess bulk. The slotted shell accepts compatible accessories such as face shields and earmuffs. Installed by safety officers, contractors, and electricians on commercial and industrial job sites, this hard hat meets ANSI Type I standards for top-impact protection.
This hard hat is suited for residential and commercial construction, electrical work, utilities, and general industrial applications. The Class E rating provides dielectric protection up to high-voltage exposure, while the Class G rating covers general-duty electrical environments. Universal head sizing and the ratchet adjustment mechanism make it practical for shared-use programs or individual issue. The non-vented shell maintains its ratings in environments where ventilation openings would compromise electrical protection. No graphics are applied, keeping it field-ready for standard site use.
Designed as an OEM-style replacement and standard-issue hard hat for job sites requiring ANSI Type I, Class E or Class G head protection. Compatible with slotted hard hat accessories designed to the standard slot pattern.
Hard hat fitting and inspection should be performed by a qualified safety professional following the manufacturer guidelines and applicable OSHA 29 CFR 1926.100 requirements. Inspect the shell and suspension for cracks, dents, or UV degradation before each use and replace the suspension or full unit per the manufacturer recommended service interval. Do not modify, drill, or paint the shell, as doing so may compromise the structural and electrical ratings. The ratchet suspension can be adjusted without tools; replace the suspension assembly separately if it shows wear before the shell requires replacement.
