The PRO-SAFE AL13-BK-HIP is a pair of aluminized protective pants constructed from blended Kevlar with a reflective aluminized outer layer. Designed for high-heat industrial environments, these pants provide radiant heat and flame protection for workers in foundries, metal casting, welding operations, smelting facilities, and similar hazardous thermal settings. The aluminized surface reflects radiant heat away from the body, while the Kevlar blend substrate delivers structural integrity and resistance to flash. These pants are sold as one pair and weigh approximately 2.75 pounds. The 36-inch inseam length accommodates standard working postures during prolonged use in hot zones.
These aluminized pants are intended for use in industrial and commercial settings where workers face sustained or intermittent exposure to radiant heat, molten metal splash, and open flame hazards. Typical applications include steel mills, aluminum casting, glass manufacturing, forge operations, and emergency response scenarios requiring thermal PPE. They are worn over standard work clothing or thermal underlayers as part of a complete heat-protection ensemble. Qualified safety officers and industrial hygienists typically specify and issue this type of PPE based on job hazard analysis requirements.
Designed as an OEM-style protective garment for industrial thermal PPE programs requiring aluminized Kevlar-blend pants in standard 36-inch inseam sizing.
These pants are donned and doffed by trained personnel following the facility's PPE program and applicable OSHA 29 CFR 1910.132 personal protective equipment standards. Inspect the aluminized surface and Kevlar substrate for tears, delamination, or contamination before each use. Do not launder with standard detergents or machine dry unless explicitly approved by the manufacturer, as improper cleaning can degrade both the aluminized coating and the Kevlar fibers. Remove and quarantine for inspection immediately after any contact with molten metal splash or direct flame exposure.
