The PRO-SAFE 650R1-O-4-HIP-A is a reflective trim line channelizer post designed for temporary traffic control and lane delineation applications. Constructed from high-density polyethylene (HDPE), this post stands 42 inches high and measures 8 inches wide, providing a visible, durable marker for roadway work zones and similar environments. It features four reflective collar bands, each 4 inches wide, delivering 360-degree visibility to drivers during both day and night conditions. The post weighs approximately 4 pounds and requires a separate base for installation. It is compliant with MUTCD and NCHRP-350 standards, making it suitable for use on federally funded roadway projects.
This channelizer post is used in roadway construction zones, highway maintenance operations, parking lot delineation, and event traffic management. Its orange color and reflective banding meet standard requirements for temporary traffic control devices. The HDPE construction resists UV degradation and impact, allowing the post to flex on vehicle contact and return to its upright position. Traffic control contractors, road crews, and facilities maintenance teams are the primary installers. A compatible base is required and sold separately.
Designed for use with compatible channelizer post bases; base is not included and must be sourced separately. Suitable for standard temporary traffic control setups meeting MUTCD and NCHRP-350 requirements.
Installation is typically performed by traffic control technicians or road crew personnel in accordance with the Manual on Uniform Traffic Control Devices (MUTCD). The post must be seated into a compatible weighted or surface-mount base before deployment - do not use the post freestanding without a proper base. Inspect reflective collars and post body for damage before each use. Follow applicable state and local traffic control plans when deploying in active roadway environments.
