The PRIME LINE PRODUCTS PL 14094 is a white-finish aluminum screen frame extrusion measuring 3/4 inch wide by 1/4 inch deep by 94 inches long with a wall thickness of .020 inches. It is used to build or rebuild window and door screen frames and is sold in a pack of 20 pieces. The aluminum construction keeps the frame lightweight and resistant to corrosion, making it a practical choice for residential screen replacement work. This extrusion accepts .135 spline for aluminum mesh or .150 spline for fiberglass mesh, giving installers flexibility depending on the screen material on the job.
This frame extrusion is suited for residential window and door screen fabrication and repair. Installers use it when building custom-size screen frames or replacing damaged frame sections. It is compatible with PL14298 White Nylon Corners (sold in 100-packs) or PL14306 Metal Miter Corners (sold in 100-packs), allowing the tech or installer to choose the corner type that fits the application. The 94-inch length accommodates a wide range of standard and oversized screen openings before cutting to size.
Designed for use with PL14298 White Nylon Corners (100-pack) or PL14306 Metal Miter Corners (100-pack). Use .135 spline with aluminum mesh or .150 spline with fiberglass mesh.
Screen frame installation is typically performed by glaziers, general contractors, or experienced handymen. Cut extrusions to length using a miter saw or hack saw with a fine-tooth blade before assembling corners. Always measure the screen opening carefully before cutting, as aluminum extrusion cuts are not reversible. Wear gloves when handling cut aluminum to avoid sharp edges.
