The PRIME LINE PRODUCTS P 7674 is a gray vinyl screen spline supplied in a 500-foot roll. It measures 0.165 inches (11/64 inches) in diameter and features a round, hollow-core construction with a serrated outer profile. The serrated surface locks the spline securely into the spline channel, holding aluminum or fiberglass screen mesh firmly in the frame. Window and door screen installers use this spline for both new installations and re-screening repairs on residential and light commercial frames. The hollow core allows the spline to compress slightly during installation, reducing the force needed to seat it without tearing the screen mesh.
This spline is suited for aluminum and fiberglass screening applications across standard window screens, door screens, and porch screen panels. The 500-foot roll length makes it practical for contractors and service technicians handling multiple re-screening jobs in a single work order. It is packaged in quantities of four rolls per package, which supports stocking for high-volume screen repair work.
Designed for use with aluminum and fiberglass window and door screen mesh installed in frames that accept a 0.165 inch round spline channel.
Screen spline installation is typically performed by window and door technicians or general maintenance contractors. Before re-screening, remove the old spline and clean the channel of debris to ensure proper seating. Use a spline roller tool to press the spline into the channel evenly; avoid stretching the screen mesh during installation. Do not substitute a larger spline diameter if the channel groove does not accommodate it, as forcing an oversized spline can crack the frame or bow the screen.
