The PRIME LINE PRODUCTS P 7529 is a black vinyl screen retainer spline designed to lock screen material securely into window and door frames. Measuring 0.230 inches (15/64 inches) in diameter and 25 feet in length, this spline features a round, hollow-core, serrated profile that compresses into the frame channel and grips the screen cloth firmly. Constructed from top-quality vinyl, it provides lasting flexibility and resistance to deformation under normal service conditions. Installers in glazing, window and door service, and general building maintenance work with this type of spline during screen replacement or new screen fabrication.
This spline is suited for use with aluminum and fiberglass screening on residential and light commercial window screens and screen doors. The 0.230-inch diameter fits frame channels sized for that gauge. Each roll provides 25 feet of continuous spline, and the package contains 10 rolls, making it practical for multi-unit jobs or stocking a service vehicle. The serrated exterior surface improves retention in the frame groove and reduces the chance of the screen working loose over time.
Designed for use with aluminum and fiberglass screening installed in window screen and screen door frames that accept a 0.230-inch diameter spline channel.
Screen retainer spline is typically installed by window and door technicians or general contractors using a spline roller tool to press the spline and screen material into the frame channel. Ensure the frame channel is clean and free of debris before installing new spline. Cut the spline to length at the corners rather than stretching it around the frame, as stretching can cause shrinkage and screen loosening over time. Old spline should be fully removed before fitting new material.
